On Tuesday, May 26th, Family Service Society, Inc. received a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Grant County, Indiana, Inc. for the 100 Good Men campaign.
Radiant Health Awarded $10k Grant from Community Foundation of Grant Co.
The grant came from multiple funds at the Community Foundation that support women’s causes and the prevention of domestic violence; those funds being the Heidi Sue Chastain Laux Memorial Fund, J. William and Eleanor G. Long Memorial Fund, Anna Mae Harrison Fund and the Young Women’s Endowed Fund.
The Community Foundation of Grant County, Indiana, Inc. is an advocate for local philanthropy and is dedicated to improving the lives of people in the Grant County area. Since 1984, the Foundation has been working with donors to establish charitable funds and has supported non-profit organizations through a variety of grantmaking efforts.
The grant will be utilized by Hands of Hope, a division of Radiant Health, for prevention and intervention activities. Hands of Hope exists to prevent domestic and sexual violence and stalking through education, advocacy and intervention strategies. In 2014, Hands of Hope provided 3,691 nights of safe sleep and completed more than 280 educational presentations in Grant and Wabash counties.
