Radiant Health Announces Transition to Expanded Crisis Services for Faster, Easier Access
Radiant Health is implementing a strategic transition to strengthen mental health care access across the community. Beginning January 22, 2026, the organization will move from a hospital-based inpatient psychiatric unit to a model focused on rapid crisis response and short-term stabilization through outpatient crisis beds.
This change reflects a growing demand for immediate, community-based care and ensures individuals receive timely support without unnecessary hospitalization.
To better serve individuals in crisis, Radiant Health is introducing several enhanced services:
- Outpatient Crisis Beds: Up to 48 hours of care for short-term support
- Mobile Crisis Team: Available 24/7 by calling 765.293.9315
- Rapid Response Center, 24-hour stabilization for individuals in acute distress. Walk-in care at 505 N Wabash Ave., Marion, open day and night
- Inpatient Referrals: Seamless coordination with trusted partners: Community Health Network, Parkview Behavioral Health, and Maple Heights
“This transition allows us to meet people where they are; quickly, compassionately, and without unnecessary barriers,” said Lisa Dominisse, President/CEO. “Our goal is to provide immediate help, reduce trauma and stigma, and keep individuals connected to care.”
These improvements are already making a measurable difference in access and outcomes:
- 806 individuals accessed Rapid Response care through mobile teams or the 24/7 stabilization unit
- 1,032 clients utilized Same Day Care for walk-in mental health visits
- 50% of crisis calls resolved over the phone or in the field
- Wait times reduced from 6 weeks to 2 hours for intake
“The Board recognizes that mental health care must evolve to meet the needs of our community,” said Steve Quaderer, Chairman of the Radiant Health Board of Directors. “This transition strengthens our ability to deliver timely, effective crisis services and ensures individuals receive the right care at the right time. We are committed to supporting this model as it prioritizes accessibility, safety, and long-term well-being”.
Radiant Health remains the central entry point for mental health crisis care in our community.
