I have found myself wishing away 2020 more times than not as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 and all the limitations that is has created.
Make the Days Count
Ironically, my oldest daughter created a poignant sign on her message board: “Don’t Count the days, make the days count”.
It caused me to pause and rethink my actions of 2020.
Instead of continuing to count the days until this pandemic is over, I am trying to find those small positives in each of my days. I am working to create purpose in my life through my thoughts, actions and interactions with others.
I may not be able to visit my mother who lives in Nebraska in person for instance, however, she and I have created a new form of communication through Zoom.I have also found myself taking more time to send cards of encouragement, making phone calls, and emailing loved ones.
As they say, this too shall pass and until it does, I would encourage each of you to find ways to make each of your days count instead of just counting the days.
