Our Christmas gift to the community is ready to be unwrapped. The day after Thanksgiving as is tradition, our home in Marion was illuminated.
Light up the Holidays
While the pandemic has stolen many things from us this past year, the Griswold Lighting Tradition is not one of them.
Each evening between now and New Year’s Day, our house will be brightly and festively lit with music accompanying the dancing lights.
And to be perfectly clear and transparent, my sole role in this holiday tradition is to write the check to pay the additional light bill that comes during this time. All the pre-work and post work rests solely on the shoulders of my husband, Larry, who is locally Clark Griswold.
Each strand of lights, tree, snowman, angel and Candy cane arches have been tested, secured to their respective places and glowing.
I would encourage each of you as you are out celebrating, take a drive up Fifth Street to see the site and as you do, remember the joy and warmth of the season.
Happy Holidays to all!
